A proud long term member of PPG’s FleetWatch repairer network, B P Rolls, celebrate 50 years in business and confidently look forward to the next 50.
From a farmers workshop in 1966, to today’s thriving business, Chairman and founder of BP Rolls, Brian Rolls and his wife Sanchia, built the foundations of perhaps the most diverse, independent, commercial and private vehicle repair business in the UK.
Today, the group is part of a portfolio of businesses owned by David Rolls, with equity stakeholder Tariq Abul tasked with leading the expansion of the group. The multi-site group, which employs over 150 people in the UK, now works with many of the largest fleet operators in the country.
As industry leaders and with the expansion of its graphics and livery business, BP Rolls now provides ‘Whole Life Cycle’ vehicle management for multi-national Home Delivery fleet operators such as Tesco, Ocado and Morrisons.
The growth of this privately-owned business is down to a number of factors – but the most important is their commitment to customer service and experience. “Our customers, whether private or large fleet operators, require as little disruption to their daily lives as possible. So efficiency and quality are key components to managing vehicles through our multi-site facilities” says David Rolls.
Being a proud member of FleetWatch also enhances the quality of the business and clients gain reassurance that the operatives involved in delivering first class paintwork have the support and training of PPG Industries. Painters work to high levels of skill and understanding of process and procedures as well as following Paint Specification documents developed by PPG for individual fleets.
To deliver first-class quality across it’s sites the BP Rolls commercial vehicle and trailer workshops are fitted with state-of-the-art Josam chassis straightening and cab alignment jigs and articulated size paint ovens, carrying out major repairs and paint work on fleet vehicles and trailers using premium PPG Refinish Paint Systems. BP Rolls also specialise in mid-life refurbishment programmes of trailers and commercial vehicles, whilst working with major high-street brands to deliver their vehicles’. Recent additions to the service include fleet van servicing to ensure clients can maximise vehicle up-time.
With in-house brand designers, printers and applicators; located at the Andover, Newport and Hull sites, the livery team have access to purpose-built studios and print rooms with full colour, wide format printers, vinyl cutting capability and roll-to-roll laminating machines offering both digital screen printing and vinyl graphics media. With access to the paint facilities BP Rolls provides the complete ‘whole life cycle’ vehicle management solution for today’s fleet operators.
